چکیده

Bipolar radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) is an off-label strategy used to target ventricular arrhythmias (VA) from difficult substrates such as the LV summit. To achieve greater transmural RFCA lesions in challenging anatomy with a novel bipolar strategy. N/A A 51-year-old male familial HCM and prior for persistent AF presented pallor palpitations setting of wide complex tachycardia 210 BPM (Figure A). The patient was given bolus IV amiodarone externally cardioverted. Amiodarone discontinued his history amiodarone-induced hyperthyroidism. During hospitalization, he had recurrences sustained VAs that were suppressed lidocaine. Cardiac MRI obtained, which showed LVEF 42% extensive LGE B). brought EP lab VT ablation. Extensive mapping RVOT, distal CS, peri-aortic area performed. best pacemap achieved 2F EPstar (Baylis Medical) AIV. not able be advanced into branch coronary sinus. total 17 unipolar delivered endocardial but clinical VA remained easily inducible. second posteroseptal RVOT on opposite side septum RFCA. positioned AIV near region tripolar effect C). significant difference impedance decline noted between ablations utilizing this D top - unipolar, bottom bipolar). Following five RCFA lesions, no longer tolerated procedure well further recurrence VAs. triangulating may help deeper lesions.

Pulmonary Embolism as a Complication after radiofrequency catheter ablation Study: A Case Report

Pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) is a fatal condition that may rarely occur due to complications of coronary catheter insertion. In this case report, a 41-year-old male was presented 48 hours after radiofrequency catheter ablation(RFCA) for the management of Wolf-Parkinson-White syndromewith acute onset of dyspnea, hemoptysis, and chest pain. The physical examination revealed coarse crackles in ...

Radiofrequency catheter ablation in the treatment of Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome

Introduction: Tachyarrhythmias in Wolf Parkinson White (WPW) syndrome, can be a life threatening factor. Antiarrhythmic drug therapy in this syndrome, has not been completely acceptable. Efficacy, safety and economy of Radio Frequency Catheter Ablation (RFCA) in western studies, has made it as the treatment of choice. In the present study, efficacy of RFCA in the ablation of accessory pathway...

Bipolar radiofrequency catheter ablation for refractory perimitral flutter: a case report

BACKGROUND Mitral isthmus is often targeted as a part of stepwise approach during radiofrequency ablation for persistent atrial ablation. Acute success rate in achieving the mitral isthmus block is only modest, late reconduction rate is relatively high and, consequently, incomplete lesion may be proarrhythmic. We describe the first-in-man experience with successful MI ablation by bipolar RF ene...

any importance to thallium data even in these young patients. Nevertheless, it is open to speculation whether this important subgroup is characterized by a special anatomical substrate' or pathophysiological mechanism leading to an extraordinarily high degree of subendocardial ischaemia. Mainly because of methodological problems, ambulatory ST-monitoring seems to be of limited value for ischaem...

Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation and Antiarrhythmic Drug Therapy

Background—Information on comparative outcome between radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA) and antiarrhythmic drugs (AADs) 1 year after randomization is important for clinical decision-making. Methods and Results—A total of 198 patients (age, 56 10 years) with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation were randomly assigned to RFA (99 patients) or to AADs (99 patients). We evaluated efficacy of RFA or A...
